One of the best experiences I’ve ever had! Joel is a great captain, was incredibly communicative and a fantastic host making everyone feel at peace and welcomed.

I wrapped up my first sail aboard Songline with new sailing skills, a newfound respect for the wind, and a slightly bruised ego after seeing how effortlessly Joel can handle this beautiful boat. He had me involved with trimming the sails, tacking and gybing, and navigating up the coast with some serious wind. Honestly, the most fun I’ve had on the water… thank you, Joel!

Joel is an amazing captain. He ensures that all onboard get basic safety training and we get to see the Santa Cruz coastline from a new perspective. Sailing on Songline is a thrilling experience but we also have gotten to enjoy the calm of the bay on a still day by anchoring out in Cowells. I take every opportunity I can to join in on a sail and highly recommend this to anyone wanting to enjoy the Monterey Bay.

There are so many incredible things I could say about Songline. My experience was on the warmest day of summer. We sailed before dropping anchor at Cowell’s, BBQ’ed, jumped in the water to swim, laughed so much—it was truly unforgettable.
